Chilgoza

It is a special type of pine tree that found in the western regions and the outskirts of the Himalayas. The height of this tree is between 3 and 4 meters. The leaves of Chilgoza tree are needle-shaped. The largest production of Chilgoza in Afghanistan takes place in the southeastern regions of Paktia, Paktika and Khost provinces. This nut has many healing properties, including its consumption is good for the heart. Previously, its consumption market was neighboring countries, India. now most of its exports are to China, Arab countries and other western countries.
